The Pacific Highway is the main route through Wyong Town Centre and is a major urban arterial road connecting the northern suburbs of the Central Coast. This area has experienced significant increase in traffic volume due to sustained urban growth across the Central Coast region.
TMA completed the Wyong Town Centre Traffic modelling assessment to support the development of a business case and undertake economic analysis of proposed options.
The scope of TMA’s assessment was to develop a VISSIM microsimulation model to assess the traffic performance of Pacific Highway and associated intersections along this corridor. We also undertook intersection optimisation in SIDRA prior to network modelling in VISSIM to reduce cost and time.
Our models were calibrated and validated in accordance with RMS Modelling Guidelines.
